  1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

  3. MusiCares maintains a special fund for music people who 
  4. find themselves in need of rent, utilities, medical assistance, 
  5. HIV and substance-abuse treatment. We are currently awarding 
  6. grants to eligible individuals for these and other critical health 
  7. and living needs. All matters concerning grant application for 
  8. the release of funds are private and confidential.

  10. DIRECTORY OF HUMAN RESOURCES

  12. Many musicians are eligible for insurance and services 
  13. through a Union or Foundation and are unfortunately not 
  14. aware of it. Many times, in crisis, musicians may call their 
  15. Union only to discover they have fallen out of the eligibility 
  16. criteria and have NO insurance. MusiCares has compiled and makes 
  17. available a booklet which lists every Union and Foundation's purpose, 
  18. their contact numbers in all cities, eligibility requirements 
  19. and services to the entire music industry.
